Facilities
Main Hall
The hall is a large welcoming space for many sorts of different activities and groups.
During a normal working week, the hall is used by the local primary school and therefore not normally available for hire (during the school term), Monday to Friday before 15:30.
The hall floor area measures approximately 14m x 9m and can accommodate groups of up to around 150 people. Seated numbers depend on your chosen table layout and any dance floor location. However, please bear in mind the tables and chairs that are stored on the main floor area for convenient school use as well as the gym mats and table tennis tables.
The Hall has separate ladies, gentlemen and disabled WCs.
Wheelchair users can access the hall from the side entrance door facing the MUGA.
Stage
The Hall has a stage area that is ~1.2m above the hall floor level and measures approximately 7.5m x 4m.
Please note that at certain times of the year such as on the build up to drama productions, the stage area is heavily in use and may have scenery in place restricting full use of the stage area.
Kitchen
There is a kitchen adjacent to the main hall, equipped with an electric oven, fridge, microwave, kettle, hot water boiler, assortment of mugs and cutlery etc. There is a serving hatch to the main hall.
Audio visual equipment
There are house loudspeakers mounted on the walls each side of the stage that are fine for amplified background music and speech and are controlled by a small mixer at the side of the stage area. There are also a number of wireless microphones, mic stands and a larger mixer.
The use of the audio equipment can be arranged, however this must be discussed well in advance of the hall hire date to facilitate access to, and setup of the equipment, and allow time for any necessary training.
WiFi
WiFi is available for the use of clients. The login details can be found on the notice board inside the main hall.
Storage and Cleaning
We offer some storage facilities for our regular users, although space is at a premium. If you are making a regular booking – for example for an exercise class – do let us know if you would like to arrange storage and we will see what can be arranged.
A selection of cleaning materials will be provided within the store cupboard. Please be considerate of other users by leaving the hall clean and tidy after your hire.
Parking
There is limited parking directly outside the hall on the wide pavement area, but there is a parking area just up the road from the hall on the right hand side next to the recycling point. Please be considerate if parking elsewhere in the Village.
